18th C. Clothing Workshop - 2010
After finally getting all the pictures of the day off our cameras....here is the long awaited part 2 of the 18th C. Clothing Workshop Posts. :)
The day of the workshop, we girls woke up very early and started the process of dressing and hairstyling. It does not take us as long as it use too....we are older now, more efficient in dressing, and so use to dressing now. :) We then finished loading up odds and ends and we were off.
When we arrived we dispersed and set off to accomplish the tasks that needed to be finished before our guests arrived.
After everyone arrived, registered, and was seated, we started. I covered, our site's history, basic local history, women's roles within the home and community. We then moved on with Mae's talk on foundation garments, hairstyles and caps. Then to my topics gowns, hats and bonnets etc.
Our guests were wonderful listeners and asked some great questions. Our next workshop is already in the works and we are looking at July. Just enough time for Mae and I to rest up from this last one.
Now, for the pictures....
